In line with GMC rules with effect from 1 July 2014, candidates are required to pass the MRCPCH Clinical examination within seven years of having passed all three of the Theory examinations.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all eligible candidates may be able to receive an extension on their seven-year registration period. Please contact us on for further information.
If you are within six months of your seven year registration period expiring, or if your registration period has already expired, you can apply for an extension.
Please read the policy currency and number of attempts in mrcpch examinations first and then submit a copy of the MRCPCH 7 year registration extension form (MS Word) to the Clinical Examination Team here.
You will need to pass your clinical exam before your expiry date, otherwise you will need to retake the AKP theory exam.
