How to apply for a DCH clinical exam
The Diploma of Child Health (DCH) is achieved by passing two exams:
- Foundation of Practice - a theory exam
- DCH Clinical exam
If you are eligible to take the DCH exams, you can apply to a DCH clinical exam during the application windows stated on the upcoming DCH clinical exam dates and application windows on our main website.
All application windows open at 09:30 and close at 16:30 (UK time) unless otherwise noted.
To apply, log in to your RCPCH online account, select My Account at the top of the website. On the dasbhoard, select Register or book for exams.
You'll get to our exams booking system. Available bookings will show up on screen. You can select the exam you wish to apply to and answer questions on the application form.
When you have completed the application form, make sure to submit it.
If you are having issues with your DCH clinical exam application
You cannot apply to an exam if you have other applications open at the same time. If you have applied to an exam and wish withdraw that application in order to apply for a different exam, submit a request.
You cannot apply to an exam if you have draft applications for other exams. You can delete draft applications by going to My recent bookings on your online account. Go to the draft application, select View then select Delete.
You cannot apply for for an exam if you are waiting on exam results for a previous exam or if you have received a deferment score from a previous exam diet.
