Introducing the Child Protection Portal
The RCPCH Child Protection Portal is an essential online resource on child protection and safeguarding for members and other professionals.
Some of the resources on the Portal are available to all users. These include Child Protection Evidence, systematic reviews, and a range of other guidance.
Some of the resources are under login, available to all members as a member benefit and to subscribers, including health and legal professionals. These include the Child Protection Companion, a handbook on safeguarding, and 'Purple Book', which outlines good practice in relation to the paediatric forensic examination where there are concerns about child sexual abuse.
How can I access secure content on the Portal as a member?
One of our member benefits is free free access to secure content on the Portal, including Child Protection Companion and Purple Book.
Most membership types have full access to Purple Book (PDFs with both text and images); Honorary Fellows and Affiliate members have text-only access to Purple Book, and can apply to upgrade to full access via our application form.
You can log in to the Portal via your RCPCH online account.
