MRCPCH clinical exams are conducted in the English language.
About interpreters for the Short Clinical Station (with patients)
However, for overseas exams, patients in the Short Clinical stations are recruited locally and may not speak English. While this station does not require a large amount of communication, exam centres can provide an interpreter for candidates who have concerns about communicating to patients in this station.
Additional time is not be provided. We therefore advise you to carefully consider this before you request an interpreter. We do not consider complaints, appeals and review of mark requests on the basis of time lost in this station due due to interpretation.
If you would like to request an interpreter for this station, please submit a request before the exam (and as soon as possible) so we can arrange this with the exam centre host.
You should also mention this in the candidate briefing to the Senior Examiner on the exam day.
